SUMMARY: Responsible for increasing the bank’s deposit base through various products, developing sound and profitable relationships, and exceeding customer needs and expectations while complying with regulatory requirements. Lead frontline staff and oversee branch operations, including participating in the hiring process, training staff, employee performance and scheduling. Work in conjunction with the Market President to accomplish overall branch success.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

  • Assist with branch deposit growth by promoting bank products and services.
  • Develop and manage new customer relationships while enhancing existing customer relationships.
  • Make outside calls to businesses.
  • Develop a strong working knowledge of Treasury Management products and services that the bank has to offer.
  • Assist business customers with setting up and maintaining Treasury Management products and services.
  • Accept applications, obtain approval, and close Consumer loans.
  • Operate a cash drawer when needed.
  • Open, close and maintain Consumer and Business accounts.
  • Use good judgement when making decisions on account related fees.
  • Create and communicate initiatives within branch to improve non-interest income, sales, crosssells.
  • Lead frontline staff and oversee branch operations, including participating in the hiring process, training staff, employee performance and scheduling.
  • Lead staff in providing an excellent customer experience.
  • Lead staff to encourage a high level of employee morale within the branch.
  • Promote corporate culture through reinforcement of quality service and teamwork.
  • Ensure branch compliance with audit and regulatory procedures.
  • Responsible for communicating facility maintenance needs to Facilities Manager.
  • Represent the bank in civic and community activities to promote the image of the bank in the branch market area in coordination with the Market President.
  • Work closely with Market President on referrals and mutual relationships to ensure an excellent experience for the customer.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Three to Five years of management experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of banking rules and regulations related to job duties and responsibilities.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Professional appearance and manner.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

  • Familiar with the bank’s core system.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team with excellent time management skills.
  • Knowledge of personal computer and related word processing and spreadsheet software.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Knowledge of various banking departments.
  • Leadership skills including coaching, organizing, planning, delegating and interpersonal skills.
  • Community involvement.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Office setting with moderately varied desk-oriented activity, with fatigue being relieved by opportunities to stand and move around in a comfortable environment.
